If you can't say something nice, hopefully someday you'll be able to...

Today's post originally started like this-

"An aside to all the folks in my life who keep sending me emails, going on rants, and otherwise professing how screwed up the world currently is and how great the good old days were:"

and the entire post that goes with that opener is written and sitting in a Word document in front of me. It is chock-full of vitriol (for those of you following me on Twitter, see I do actually use the Wednesday Words of the Week sometimes)and conviction. It is also highly polarizing and though writing it made me feel better, I think it's better that it remain unposted here.

Instead I will take today's post and use it to applaud the folks I know (both undergrad and grad students) who are graduating this week or have done so in the past few days. Here's hoping y'all can make a better world with the knowledge you have earned and the lives you will lead.

...humor will commence again soon, I promise.

  1. Boooooo! More vitriol!

  2. You can give a special one finger salute to the others.
